Reservation and cancellation terms

Niemenharju Tourist Centre reservation and cancellation terms for hotel rooms

1. Reservations and confirmation

When making a reservation customers must provide their name, address, arrival and departure times and form of payment. Reservations are immediately binding.

2. Arrival and departure times

The room will be available for use from 2:00 PM on the day of arrival to noon on the day of departure. The room will be held for the customer until 6:00 PM. If the customer arrives later than 6:00 PM, the hotel must be notified and the hotel has the right to cancel the customer's reservation. Keys can be picked up at the

Niemenharju reception area. If a key is lost, the cost of changing/serialising the lock will be charged to the customer.

3. Cancellation and no-shows

The customer may cancel a one-night reservation at no charge no later than 6:00 PM on the day prior to scheduled arrival. If the customer is a no-show, the hotel has the right to charge for one night. For reservations of more than one night the customer may cancel the reservation at no charge no less than 15 days before the arrival date. For cancellations less than 15 days before the arrival date, 50% of the value of the reservation will be charges if the room could not be resold. If the customer cancels a reservation for more than one night less than 2 days before the arrival time and the room could not be resold, the entire value of the reservation will be charged.

4. Early departure

If the customer departs before the time agreed to, the hotel must be notified no later than 6:00 PM the previous day. Otherwise, the hotel has the right to charge the customer for the price of one night. If the reservation was for more than one night, the customer must pay the agreed-upon price for the remaining days unless the room can be resold.

5. Customer conduct at the accommodations

Customers must adhere to good practices and regulations. Customers who breach these regulations can be removed from the hotel immediately. The customer must nevertheless pay the price of the accommodations and cannot demand reimbursement for a payment that was already made.

6. Smoking and pets

Smoking is prohibited indoors at the Tourist Centre. A 100€ fine will be charged for smoking indoors. Pets are only permitted in a few rooms in the guesthouse. There is a 10€ charge for pets.The Niemenharju Tourist Centre adheres to the general reservation and cancellation guidelines of the Finnish Hospitality Association MaRa.

Reservations and cancellations for cottages

1. Reservations and payment

When making a reservation customers must provide their name, address, arrival and departure times. Reservations are immediately binding. Identification must be provided and the reservation must be paid for when the key is picked up. Online reservations must also be paid for immediately in their entirety.

2. Arrival and departure times

The cottage will be available for use from 3:00 PM on the day of arrival to noon on the day of departure.

3. Cancellations and no-shows

Niemenharju must always be notified of cancellations, preferably in writing, e.g. by email. The cancellation fee is a minimum of 10€. Cottage reservations can be cancelled at no cost (excluding the cancellation fee) if the cancellation is made no less than 3 days before the scheduled arrival date. If a reservation is cancelled less than 3 days before the arrival date no payments will be reimbursed unless the cottage can be resold.

4. Keys and cleaning

Keys can be picked up at the Niemenharju reception area. If a key is lost, the cost of changing/serialising the lock will be charged to the customer. Sheets, linens, towels and cleaning upon departure are included in the price of the cottage. Customers are responsible for emptying the trash, doing the dishes and removing the linens. We expect that the cottage will be left in normal condition after occupancy, with supplies and furniture in place and unbroken. The cottage's yard and terrace must also be tidy.

5. Reimbursement for damages

The customer is responsible for the contents of the cottage during the period of occupancy. Customers are liable for reimbursing the Niemenharju Tourist Centre for damage they have caused to the premises or its contents.

6. Number of guests

Cottages may not be used by more than the number of guests noted in the brochure. Pitching a tent or parking a caravan or car on the cottage property without the consent of the Niemenharju Tourist Centre is prohibited. Additional guests by agreement.

7. Complaints

All complaints related to reservations or the condition of a cottage must be made immediately at the Niemenharju reception desk.

8. Smoking and pets

Smoking inside the cottages is prohibited. A 100€ fine will be charged for smoking indoors. Pets are not permitted.
